Multiple Emirati newspapers highlighted an analysis published by InterRegional for Strategic Analysis, on November 26, 2022, entitled, "Flexibility Policies: Why is the UAE interested in expanding the nationalization of industry?" The analysis dealt with the dimensions and implications of Federal Decree Law No. 25 of 2022, issued on November 9, 2022, concerning the organization and development of industry in the UAE, which reveals the country’s growing interest in developing state nationalization policies for industry.

Citing InterRegional’s analysis, Al-Watan newspaper noted that the introduction of the new law reveals national manufacturing strategies and legislation, most notably the national strategy for industry and advanced technology known as "Operation 300 Billion," to develop and stimulate the Emirati industrial sector and increase its contribution to GDP from AED 133 billion to AED 300 billion by 2031. The importance of Federal Decree Law No. 25 of 2022, concerning the organization and development of industry in the UAE, also stems from its provision of certain advantages and incentives for industrial activity, including the creation of an industrial registry that contains a comprehensive database of industrial projects.

Also citing InterRegional’s analysis, the Emarat Al Youm and Al Wahda newspapers confirmed that the UAE government was seeking to accommodate investors and facilitate procedures involving investment activities in various sectors, including the Basher service that allows investors to establish companies in the UAE electronically (remotely). The state also introduced the Instant License in Dubai, aimed at accelerating the process for establishing companies, as well as an amendment to the Companies Law, allowing foreign investors full ownership.

Meanwhile, the Al Khaleej and Arabic Times newspapers, citing InterRegional’s analysis, opined that the UAE’s interest in industrial nationalization is linked to the state’s efforts to achieve self-sufficiency in several strategic industries. Perhaps the prime example of this is the defense industry sector, which is seeing major development and comprehensive growth. Defense industries in the UAE have managed to create important opportunities to achieve a leap in growth to promote the national goals of increasing the industrial sector’s national added value within the "Projects of the 50."
