During the upcoming year, many elections will be held around the world. The outcome of these 2024 elections could have implications for various global dynamics. Elections will be held in 76 countries with a population of 4 billion people—about half of the world’s total population. The 2024 elections are particularly crucial because they will take place in several major powers in the international system, including the United States and Russia, as well as in various global conflict hotspots.
